Memorial Day

Next Monday is the traditional observance of Memorial Day. This day is set aside in remembrance of our fallen heroes. These are the men and women who were not only brave enough to choose to serve their country, that is Veteran's Day, but actually lost their lives preserving our freedoms or trying to give those freedoms to other people. I would ask that on this day you put aside your politics and opinions for just a moment and give them the respect they deserve. Whether or not you agree with what they did it is still a tremendous sacrifice to lay down your life for others. If you are unsure about the specifics of observance please click here.
Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

Well said Cap'n.

If anyone would like a small taste of the sacrifices made for this country, then I suggest that you rent, buy, or borrow a copy of HBO's "Band of Brothers." Watch those DVDs and you'll come away with a new appreciation for those who fell protecting the freedoms that we take for granted.
