I went to one of his lectures when he was in town almost two years ago. He regularly gets teachers together, public teachers especially, to tell them how they CAN present the truth in their classrooms. I don't know where we got his name, but I was an instant fan as he sticks to the science and doesn't just say "because the bible says so." He actually defends what the Bible says with fantastic science that often does not get refuted. I used several of his arguments when I debated a stem cell supporter on a BB about a year ago, the guy gave up and just started calling me names, which is pretty typical. I really recommend people following/supporting Dr. J and subscribing to his newsletter.

How did you hear about him? The five minutes of his lecture I saw was very good. Much better than most creationist speakers I've heard.
